Transgender Electrolysis in San Juan Capistrano

At Flash Electrolysis, we are proud to support the transgender and non-binary community with safe, inclusive, and compassionate permanent hair removal services. We know that transition is deeply personal, and that electrolysis is more than just a cosmetic treatment — it's a powerful part of aligning your appearance with your identity.

Whether you're in the early stages of your transition, preparing for gender-affirming surgery, or simply seeking permanent relief from unwanted hair, we’re here for you — with professional care, respectful treatment, and visible results.

Here to Support Your Transition

We’ve worked with countless transgender clients, and we understand that transition can be emotional, time-consuming, and financially challenging. We want to make one part of that journey easier — by offering FDA-approved permanent hair removal in a supportive and judgment-free space.

Our Flash electrologists bring not only technical expertise, but also compassion and care to every appointment. You’ll never be rushed, questioned, or made to feel uncomfortable here. Your goals are our goals — and every session is tailored to help you feel more at home in your body.

Electrolysis for Gender-Affirming Hair Removal

Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method approved by the FDA — and it’s the gold standard for pre-operative and post-operative hair removal. Unlike laser, it works on all skin tones and all hair types, including white, gray, red, and blonde hairs that lasers can’t remove.

FAQs: Transgender Hair Removal

Do I need a referral or doctor’s note?

Not for standard treatment. If you’re undergoing pre-surgical electrolysis for genital surgery (SRS/GCS), some surgeons may require documentation of treatment or clearance. We’re happy to work with your medical team.

How long will it take?

Hair removal depends on the size of the area, your hair density, and treatment frequency. For pre-op genital electrolysis, it’s important to start 6–12 months in advance of your scheduled surgery.

Is it painful?

Sensitivity varies. We adjust settings for your comfort and can offer numbing tips or product suggestions. Most clients find the treatment manageable — especially when hydrated and well-prepared.

Will you treat intimate areas?

Yes. We treat genital and buttocks areas with full professionalism and privacy. This is often required for gender-affirming surgery, and we have the experience to handle these treatments with discretion and care.
